Mini Grant Application Form 2011 - 2012


Deadline for submission: December 31, 2011, note the deadline will be extended to January 20, 2012 as a result of web site directory issues.
General Rules

Mini Grants will be offered again this year to NYSTEEA members. The purpose of Mini Grants is to provide support for Technology Education Teachers in their effort to develop new and innovative strategies for teaching and presenting curriculum. Teacher's efforts are supported by funds to purchase necessary materials. There is a total of $1,500 budgeted for this year. Therefore, Mini Grant limits will be $500.00 for each award, for a total of 3 awards. Funds may be used to purchase materials and supplies, but may not be used to purchase services. All Mini Grant recipients are expected to present their project at the NYSTEEA Annual Spring Conference, You are also asked to provide both written and photo documentation of your project to be used in a future issue of the NYSTEEA journal.

Mini Grant Proposals Must:

·    Address the MST Learning Standards
·    Be innovative
·    Require the use of problem solving and engineering design
·    Have value to both students and members of NYSTEEA
·    Be made by a NYSTEEA member in good standing for the past two years
·    Did not receive a NYSTEEA Mini Grant the previous year
·    An application may be co-authored

Please provide all information requested. Feel free to add any other written or support materials. Incomplete proposals will not be considered and will be returned to the maker.

Rob Clark has retired from working on the Mini Grant for NYSTEEA after many years of appreciated service.


All Mini Grant applications must be typed and forwarded by email to Bob Tufte, they will then be forwarded to the new mini grant committee. If you are interested in joining this committee let Bob Tufte know. Email link on the executive board page.
